SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO News

Sandburg Family,

IReady is underway this week, so make sure our awesome students are getting a good nights rest and a great breakfast to start the year off right.  Testing will go through this week and help develop an understanding of strengths and opportunities for staff.  A convenient treat after, we have a fun Kona Ice Out-&-About fundraiser after school today, so bring your $ and pick your flavor(s)!

Remember the Back to School Curriculum Night Thursday!  The two separate session allow for multiple teacher meetings or a flexible schedule.  Plus, learn more about the PTO Fundraising Opportunities, including easy ways to help Sandburg at no additional cost.

2024/2025 Goal

Like all Littleton Public Schools, Sandburg believes in and delivers a higher standard of education to our students. We know it’s what you’ve come to expect, and for many of you, it’s why you choose Sandburg for your children. Unfortunately, the funding we receive from the state of Colorado isn’t enough to provide the level of educational support we know you’ve come to expect. So, we bridge that gap through fundraising.

Throughout the school year, the PTO strives to raise funds for school improvements, staffing assistance, and social events to build our community.  The goal for the 2024/2025 school year is $60,000.

Last year, the PTO was able provide sensory walls throughout the school, staff support and a new science curriculum: Mystery Science.  With the funds raised this year, PTO hopes to provide an electronic marquee, social events, and staff support.

We raise money through a variety of different ways throughout the school year, including Out & Abouts, Run4Fund$, Teacher Raffle, direct giving, and more.  We also offer ways you can earn "free" money for Sandburg through year-round community rewards programs.

Last year, our top fundraisers were as follows:

  • Run4Funds                                     $44,012
  • King Soopers Cards                       $12,477
  • Teacher Raffle                                $7,852
  • Charleston Wrap                            $2,019
  • Sandburg Out & About                   $1,802
  • Skate City                                       $1,136

Every penny we raise goes directly to the school. Please ensure your King Soopers Card is linked to give back to Sandburg, save your Southglenn receipts (more info below), and watch for future fundraisers!
