SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO: Meeting Tomorrow & Volunteer Opportunities

Hello Sandburg Families,

Please join us tonight for the Sandburg PTO Meeting in the Library at 6 pm!  A more detailed agenda below, but it includes the principal hiring process, Sandburg's budget, and our upcoming spring events.

Two fun events are on the horizon, our Sweetheart Dance on 3/14 and Spring Auction Fundraiser 4/12!  But first, we need volunteers to make the fun happen.  Please consider helping out, or providing an auction item(s) this spring!

Thursday, Sandburg has an Out & About at Noodles & Co in SouthGlenn from 4-8 pm. Make sure to mention Sandburg Elementary and 25% of the sales will benefit our school. If you order online, type in GIVING25 code so that our school gets the credit.

Playground Pals has a new sign-up schedule for January through May! If you are looking for an easy/flexible way to volunteer at the school, Playground Pals is for you! This Program is designed for parents to help the school staff promote an inclusive, safe, and fun environment during lunch recess. It is a great way for parents to get involved in the kid’s school day while accommodating busy schedules.

Our PTO meeting will be held tonight in the Library at 6 PM.  This will be a bigger meeting as we have some important agenda items.

  • Chris Esser, Director of HR, will visit to talk to our families about the upcoming process and timeline for hiring the new principal for next year.

  • Keri McCabe, our Principal, will give a detailed presentation of the school finances and where we are sitting.  This information will give our community great insight and help us discuss where we want our PTO funds to go towards this next year.

We hope you can attend.

Spring Events: We Need You!

We have volunteer opportunities for both the Sweetheart Dance on March 14th and our Adults Only Spring Fundraising event April 12th.  If you are interested in being a part of one of these committees please fill out THIS FORM.  The committee heads will be in touch with you.  We appreciate your help!

Calling All Auction Items!

As we gear up for our Spring Fundraiser which will be happening on Saturday, April 12th, we invite you to contribute items for our auction!
A great place to start is reaching out to companies you work for or with to ask about what they may be able to provide. Perhaps your company has season tickets to the Nuggets? Maybe a friend is a local chef who would donate a private dining experience? The possibilities are endless. Whether it’s a handmade craft, gift certificates, or unique experiences, your donations help make our event a success and support our school programs

For more information or to discuss your donation or if you’d just like to share ideas or points of contact the committee can reach out to, please reach out to SandburgElementaryFundraising@gmail.com. Thank you for your continued support!

5th Grade Parent Night

Middle school in LPS is an opportunity for students to grow academically, emotionally, developmentally, and socially. It is a time for students to try new things, explore new interests, and broaden their world as 21st Century learners.

Parents of current fifth graders, as well as parents of current middle schoolers, who want to learn more about LPS’s middle school offerings are invited to attend Fifth Grade Parent Night on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Littleton High School. There is no need to RSVP for this parents-only event. Come hear a presentation from LPS’s middle school principals and ask your questions!
