SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO:It's Almost Time for Neon Nights!

Good Morning Sandburg!

Thank you for a thoughtful Teacher Appreciation week!  The staff appreciated being treated to your kindness and generosity.  It was great energy to roll into CMAS this week for 3rd- 5th grades.  

We are still in need of help with the Teacher Cart - spots remain open, and we'd love to get a few more items in this week.  This is the last chance to contribute this year.  Sign up today!

Book Swap is gearing up to be a great opportunity for refreshing readily available reading.  Please have all books submitted by Monday, 4/14.  Contact Robyn Kline with any questions: sandburgptocomms@gmail.com

The Sandburg Talent Show is on the horizon for 3rd - 5th grade students.  If interested, please submit an application.  Auditions will be held 5/13-5/14, with a school-wide performance 5/21.

Neon Nights This Saturday!

Saturday is the exciting Neon Nights benefit for Sandburg.  This unforgettable adults-only evening dedicated to raising vital funds for the students and teachers.

We are looking for PTO volunteers for the 2025-2026.  Consider joining a great group of parents striving to make Sandburg the best school possible!  Apprentices are able to shadow for one school year, enjoy the role for a year and teach their replacement the following year.  Please email: sandburgpto@gmail.com  for more detailed descriptions and to find out how your skills, knowledge, and talents can help your community flourish.

Sandburg’s Got Talent!

The ninth annual Sandburg’s Got Talent Show will take place May 22nd! Open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, interest should be expressed through the Google Form by Friday 5/2.  

The specials team will use a rubric based on Organization, Appearance, and Originality, to determine which performances will be showcased at the school wide performance on May 22nd.  Polished planning and practicing is highly encouraged, as we can only take a limited number of acts for the show.

 Important Dates:

  • Google Forms submitted by April 12, 2024

  • Finalists announced May 16th

  • School-Wide Performances 9:30 am, afternoon performance 1:30 pm, May 21st

Streets at Southglenn - Final Deadline Approaching!

All Streets of Southglenn receipts from August - April must be logged by April 30, 2025 for Sandburg to receive points! You may follow the instructions below (it's easy!) OR feel free to drop your receipts in the box in the front entry.

Remember to log your receipts for the following:

  • Elevated Music lessons. Ask for a receipt for your lessons this year OR download from your online portal.
  • Snowbahn lessons or summer camps
  • Sur la Table summer camps

Sandburg earns 5 points per dollar spent, with many additional bonus point opportunities. From now thru the end of April, earn 5X the points at these select retailers: Chico's, Kirklands, Loft, Magic Nails, Old Navy, Paper Source, Sephora, Sur La Table, T is for Table, Tip to Toe Nails, Woodhouse Day Spa

Help Sandburg earn up to $2500 by shopping at dining at The Streets of Southglenn and logging your receipts! Sandburg uses these funds for school supplies, events materials, teacher appreciation meals, and more!
