We hope you had a lovely long weekend!

This year, we celebrated Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week early to reduce the end-of-year chaos. Nationally, it is recognized 5/6 - 5/10, and our cherished staff love the tradition of Door Decorating! Please consider helping us by signing up to decorate the door of a Sandburg Staff Member. Details on the program are included below and on the SignUp Genius, but feel free to email us with any questions: sandburgpto@gmail.com. We will hang the door decorations on Sunday, May 4th, from 1 pm-4 pm. If interested in door decorating, please sign up here.

Thank you to everyone participating in the Book Swap! Students will be shopping this week for their books by classroom. If you'd like to help, a few spots remain for volunteers. It's easy, quick, and truly heartwarming to see the excitement on the children's faces as they choose their books!

The STEAM Fair is tonight, April 22nd. Please check out the hard work our students have put forth from 6:00-7:00 pm.

Kona Ice will visit after school today, so feel free to cool off with a sweet treat! 20% of all sales are given back to Sandburg!

We kindly request that each classroom or office door, as well as selected desks and walls, be decorated to honor our teachers and staff. The door decor can have any theme you prefer, just something to show our love and appreciation for our wonderful staff! A few of last year's favorites below for reference.

Door decorations can be designed and made at home! If you would like background or backdrop paper, the school has butcher paper available for you to use!

If making ahead of time, please make sure to measure your specific door for accurate sizing (they do vary within the school) and note where the handle is so that space can be cut when you get to school.

We will hang the door decorations on Sunday, MAY 4, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.

If you can design and decorate a door but can't make it on Sunday, just drop off your door/design on Friday, MAY 2nd at the front office. A hanging team will put your preassembled door up for you, just note which teacher or staff door you created!
