Hello Sandburg!

Thursday is Back to School Curriculum Night.  Teachers are getting ready to share important information and highlight the exciting learning opportunities that lie ahead. If you're interested in becoming a Room Parent, please sign-up with your teacher.  

Take a moment to review the Sandburg PTO Board.  Feel free to ask questions or introduce yourself - we are here to help!

CSSAC will begin meetings on September 30th in the Sandburg Library.  CSSAC is the Carl Sandburg School Accountability Committee and has two primary responsibilities.  

1. To make recommendations to the principal on the school priorities for spending school funds.
2. To make recommendations to the principal and superintendent concerning the preparation of a school Unified Improvement Plan.

All Sandburg families are welcome to attend meetings!

We look forward to seeing you at Back to School: Curriculum Night, on Thursday, August 28th from 5:30pm – 7:00pm.  

• Session 1 in the classroom is from 5:30-6:00 pm
• Session 2 in the classroom is from 6:10-6:40 pm

Please join your classroom teacher in either session 1 or 2 to learn more about the curriculum and class schedule/expectations. This night is geared toward adults. Parents only need to attend one session.  Two sessions are provided to allow parents to go to multiple grade levels if necessary.

We are happy to introduce the Sandburg PTO Board for the 2025 - 2026 School Year.  Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions or need help with navigating the school year.

Please join us Friday, September 5th for Kona Ice directly across the street from the Sandburg front office after school, and 20% of sales are donated back to Sandburg. 

Then enjoy a night off from cooking on September 10th at Little George's.  Located across from Arapahoe High School, simply mention Sandburg and 20% of dine-in sales will come back to our school.
