SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO: Run4Funds & Fall Festival Fun!

Sandburg Families,

Run4Funds is ramping-up! It's time to get those Early Bird Donations in!  Please consider contributing today!  We also have a few spots remaining if you want to join us on run day, Friday, October 3rd, and sign-up to volunteer here!

Room Parents have been actively communicating.  Make sure you are receiving emails or sign up for Membership Toolkit and complete the Room Parent Communication Opt-in.  We hope you don't miss out!

The Sandburg Fall Festival is approaching - and we're looking for those creative families/teams to show their spirit and represent each classroom.  Learn more below.

The PTO & CSSAC Boards will be at Max Taps, Thursday, Sept. 25th for questions, new ideas, or ways to volunteer!  All Sandburg supporters welcome.  Otherwise, join us at the next meeting: CSSAC 9/30 and PTO 10/14.

We also have community opportunities for potential new Sandburg families, an optional book talk about technology influences, and school break sports camp.

And last but not least, Kona Ice is visiting after school today, and we get to enjoy Mici's Italian on 10/4, both giving back to Sandburg!

Parent Tour at Sandburg

Do you know a future Sandburg Mountain Lion? We’re opening our doors on Friday, October 6th at 8:30 a.m. for a special tour just for prospective families. If you have neighbors, friends, or relatives with little ones who will be starting kindergarten (or joining us in another grade) in the 2026–27 school year, please encourage them to come! It’s a great chance to see our school in action and learn what makes Sandburg such a special place. We can’t wait to welcome new families!

Anxious Generation: Book Talk

If you want to understand the effects of phones, screens, and social media on today’s kids, Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation is an excellent resource.  It explores recent research on “play-based childhoods” versus “phone-based childhoods” and offers advice for parents and schools. To join a discussion with other Sandburg families, fill out this interest form and stay tuned for more information.

Littleton High School Sports Camp

We are pleased to continue our partnership with Littleton High School by offering a School Days Off – Sports Camp for students in grades 2–6.

 Thursday, October 16th
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Boys & Girls, Grades 2–6

This one-day, multi-sport camp provides students with an opportunity to stay active, develop skills, and build new friendships in a supportive environment.

Today, Kona Ice will be available after school, and in two weeks, please join us for Mici's Italian and Sandburg will earn 20% back to our school on October 7th!
