SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO: Run4Funds Friday & Fall Festival Volunteer Spots!

Sandburg Families,

Run4Funds is next week! Make sure you send emails to family, friends and please consider contributing today!  Don't forget to join us on run day, Friday, October 3rd, and enjoy a few laps with your student(s) with those crazy costumes!

We still have families missing out on emails.  Make sure you are receiving emails or sign up for Membership Toolkit and complete the Room Parent Communication Opt-in.  

The Sandburg Fall Festival is only a few weeks away and we're looking for those creative families/teams to show their spirit and represent each classroom.  Learn more below.

We also have community opportunities for potential new Sandburg families, and school break sports camp.  

If you are Out & About on Tuesday, October 7th, stop by Mici's Italian on 10/7, and they will give 20% back to Sandburg!

Run4Funds Update!

Our Fun Run is this Friday, October 3rd!

  • Volunteers: Please check in at the front desk for your badge, then head to the DJ table on the South Playground.

  • Parents & Spectators: Head straight to the South Playground to cheer on the runners. No front desk check-in is needed unless you are volunteering.

We’re currently at 56% of our $55,000 goal! Every dollar raised brings us closer to exciting prizes like inflatables at Field Day and Dippin’ Dots for the whole school—but even more importantly, these funds provide critical support for staffing and programs at Sandburg. In a time of budget cuts, your generosity makes a direct and lasting difference for our students. Thank you for helping us close the gap and reach the finish line together!  

Run Times

  • 8:30–9:15 | Kindergarten & 4th Grade

  • 9:25–10:10 | 1st & 3rd Grade

  • 10:15–11:00 | 2nd & 5th Grade

Corporate donations and employer matching are a powerful way to multiply our fundraising impact. If your company offers donation matching, please reach out to Monica Dosen at monicascotharris@gmail.com for more details. 

All students will receive an Otter Pop popsicle after the Fun Run. If your child cannot have one, please email Monica Dosen at monicascotharris@gmail.com. Ingredients can be found here: Otter Pop Ingredients.

This exciting event will take place on Friday, October 24th at Sandburg! Join us in creating engaging and interactive stations that will delight attendees and foster a sense of community spirit.

Host a Trunk-or-Treat station, activity, or game - with goodies provided.

Parent Tour at Sandburg

Do you know a future Sandburg Mountain Lion? We’re opening our doors on Friday, October 6th at 8:30 a.m. for a special tour just for prospective families. If you have neighbors, friends, or relatives with little ones who will be starting kindergarten (or joining us in another grade) in the 2026–27 school year, please encourage them to come! It’s a great chance to see our school in action and learn what makes Sandburg such a special place. We can’t wait to welcome new families! 

Littleton High School Sports Camp

We are pleased to continue our partnership with Littleton High School by offering a School Days Off – Sports Camp for students in grades 2–6.

 Thursday, October 16th
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Boys & Girls, Grades 2–6

This one-day, multi-sport camp provides students with an opportunity to stay active, develop skills, and build new friendships in a supportive environment. Learn More
