SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO: Field Day Switch; We Need Volunteers!

Sandburg Family,

Last week of school!

Colorado has decided to make it a very interesting week, bumping our planned field day from Tuesday to Thursday the 21st.  With the date and time changes, some of our volunteers are not able to assist.  Please consider signing up!

As we close out the school year, we have a lengthy list of people to thank within our community, Sandburg staff, and PTO board.  Please take a moment to read a message from our PTO President and recognize those who have made the year great for your student(s).

Our Sandburg community rallied together during the 2025/2026 school year, driving historic fundraising success through major events like the fall Run4Funds and Prom Deux. Thanks to your unmatched generosity, the PTO was able to give $100,000 to Sandburg for staffing and facility improvements for the 2026/27 school year.  Thank you!

And don't forget to order your School Supply Kits for next school year!

PTO 25/26 Financials

As we look back on the 2025/2026 school year, we want to celebrate your unmatched generosity, energy, and dedication, our collective fundraising efforts translated into tangible, direct support that helps our wonderful school, students, and educators.

Here is a quick look at how we teamed up to raise our funds—and exactly how those dollars built a better school for our kids!

Our 25/26 Fundraising Milestones

Our community rallied together using a wonderful mix of traditional flagship events, loyalty programs, and grants.

  • Run4Funds (Fall Fundraiser): Our single biggest blockbuster event of the year! This high-energy fun run brought our community together in the fall and set an incredible, positive momentum for our entire funding year.
  • Prom Deux (Spring Fundraiser): A spectacular, elegant evening out that proved to be a cornerstone of our spring giving, keeping our essential school programs fully funded.
  • Private Grants & Teacher Drawings: Behind-the-scenes grant applications and our always-fun teacher drawings stacked up critical, targeted dollars for our classrooms.
  • King Soopers Cards & Out & About: You turned everyday grocery runs and neighborhood family outings into effortless, continuous rewards for Sandburg!

What Your Generosity Built: Making a Lasting Impact

Every dollar raised is systematically put to work right where it counts. Look at how your investments directly shape our school campus and community:

  • Direct Support to Our Classrooms (Sandburg Staffing): The single largest portion of our budget went straight to funding vital support staffing positions, maintaining optimal learning environments for our kids.
  •  Upgrading Our Campus (Sandburg Building): A major slice was poured directly into our facilities, ensuring our students had a safe, updated, and inspiring building to walk into every day.
  • Showering Love on Our Teachers (Staff Appreciation): Our teachers are absolute rockstars! Your support allowed us to treat, celebrate, and motivate them all year long.
  • Social Events & STEM Support: From memory-making community social gatherings to specialized hands-on materials for our STEM initiatives, your funds built a vibrant, well-rounded school experience.

Thank You, Sandburg Community!

None of this is possible without YOU. Whether you donated, bid, set-up your King Sooper donations or volunteered your time, you were the heart and soul of Sandburg this year. Thank you for making the 2025/2026 school year an unforgettable victory for our kids!

Street Smarts - A Huge Thank You!!

Sending sincere appreciation for all in our community who participated in the Street Smarts Fundraising program through the Streets at Southglenn! We had the most participation we have ever had this year, and we will hear soon where we placed among all the participating schools. This will likely amount to an additional $2,000+ in fundraising dollars for Sandburg to put towards supplies, events, and support for our staff.

Every time you shopped locally at the Streets of Southglenn and logged a receipt (or turned them in) OR attended an event and uploaded a photo it made a difference for our school. We really appreciate you taking the time to do so, and for spreading the word.

Starting August 1, this program will kick off for the coming school year! So start saving those receipts and logging them at shopandlog.com/southglenn! Be on the lookout for more details as we kickoff the year in August!
