Hi Sandburg families,

We have a lot of fun events planned for the year ahead, but we can’t make them happen without the support of our Sandburg families. This week, we’re putting out a special call for volunteers to help with a few upcoming events.

Whether you can lend a hand for one evening or are interested in taking on a larger role, there are several ways to get involved. 

Please keep reading to take a look at the volunteer opportunities below and consider helping us make these events possible for our students and families.

Fall Fest/Trunk-or-Treat is locked in for Friday, October 23, but we need 1 - 2 volunteers to help lead the event.

Event coordinators would help organize participating trunks, games and activities, coordinate food trucks if desired. You’ll have PTO support along the way so you don’t have to do it alone.

Without volunteers to coordinate the event, we won’t be able to hold Fall Festival this year. If you’re interested in helping keep this Sandburg tradition going, please email sandburgpto@gmail.com.

Our first-ever Sandburg Family Movie Night is coming up on Friday, September 18, and we need four volunteers to help out during the event.

If you’re already planning to attend and can lend a hand, we’d greatly appreciate the extra help. Please email sandburgpto@gmail.com if you’re interested.

Movie begins: 7:30 PM

Please note: This is not a drop-off event. Children must attend with a parent or guardian.

Thursday, September 4 is the deadline to opt in to Membership Toolkit and fill out the Class Communications Opt In doc.

Families must opt in each year to receive PTO and room parent communications and be included on classroom communication lists.

Tour eight beautiful Cherry Knolls homes and gather inspiration for your own home projects while supporting COTA for Obryen’s Journey, which benefits 15-year-old Cherry Knolls resident Obryen Keady and her family as they navigate a rare degenerative kidney disease.
