SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO: We Did It! $50K Raised + October Events

This Week at Sandburg

Hi Sandburg families,

We did it! Thanks to our incredible Sandburg community, we reached our $50,000 Run4Funds goal! Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, came out to cheer and helped make Run Day such a success.

Fundraising is still open through October 9, so there’s still time to contribute and see how far beyond our goal we can go.

Between Movie Night, Fall Fest, and more, October is shaping up to be a busy month so keep reading below for everything coming up.

And don’t forget to take a night off from cooking. Our next Out & About fundraiser is at Chook Chicken on October 6 & 7, with a portion of sales benefiting Sandburg.

Our Teachers’ Cart Needs Some Love

We still have a ot of open spots on our Teachers’ Cart sign-up, and donations are due this Thursday.

With parent-teacher conferences coming up, we’d love to stock the staff lounge with plenty of snacks and drinks to help keep our teachers and staff fueled through some extra-long days.

If you’re able to help, please take a look at the sign-up HERE, and grab an open item or two. Donations can be dropped off at the front office by morning drop-off on Thursday, October 8.

Don’t have time to shop? You can also contribute to the Teachers’ Cart Fund HERE, and we’ll use the donations to purchase items that are still needed.

Movie Night Is This Saturday

Join us on Saturday, October 10 at 6:45 PM for the live-action How to Train Your Dragon.

Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored. You can still buy tickets via the QR code below or THIS LINK.

Doors open at 6 PM.

Lace Up for Skate City

Join your Sandburg friends for a night of skating at Skate City on Thursday, October 15 from 5-7 PM.

This special event is open exclusively to Sandburg students, staff, family and friends, and the more skaters we have, the more Sandburg earns. If we reach 200 skaters, $1,000 comes back to our school.

Pre-purchase your tickets using the QR code or THIS LINK, then grab your skates and come out for a night of fun.

Fall Festival Needs Your Help

Our Fall Festival/Trunk-or-Treat is Friday, October 23, and we need Sandburg families to help make it a success.

We still need volunteers to help with trunks, games and activities, as well as donations of candy and treats for the event.

Whether you can volunteer your time or contribute a bag of candy, we'd love your support.

Sign up to help HERE.

Out & About at Chook Chicken

Skip the cooking and support Sandburg! Stop by Chook Chicken on October 6 & 7, and a portion of sales will be donated back to our school. Mention Sandburg or enter colde "Schools20" online.

See the flyer below for details.
