SUBJECT: Sandburg PTO: Run4Funds Success, Skate City, Fall Fest & More!

This Week at Sandburg

Hi Sandburg families,

We did it, and then some! Thanks to our amazing Sandburg community, we raised over $55,000, surpassing our $50,000 Run4Funds goal! Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make this year's fundraiser such a success.

October is keeping us busy. From Skate City and Fall Festival/Trunk-or-Treat to upcoming family events, there are plenty of ways to get involved and support our Mountain Lions. We still need volunteers for Fall Festival, so please consider lending a hand.

And with classroom Halloween parties just around the corner, be on the lookout for communication from your teachers and room parents with more details.

Keep reading below for all the upcoming events, important dates and ways to get involved.

Run4Funds: We Did It!

What an incredible day! Our Mountain Lions showed up with tons of energy and school spirit.

Together, Sandburg students ran 12,912 laps. That's 807 miles! To put that into perspective, that's like running all the way from Sandburg to Dallas, Texas.

And thanks to the generosity of our Sandburg community, we raised over $55,000, exceeding our $50,000 fundraising goal.

A huge thank-you to our students, families, volunteers and everyone who helped make this year's event such a success.

Last Call for Lost & Found

Missing a jacket, sweatshirt or water bottle? Be sure to check the Lost & Found before Wednesday, October 14. All unclaimed items will be donated that day.

The Lost & Found is located in the hallway leading to the cafeteria, so stop by and take a look before it's too late.

Lace Up for Skate City

Join your Sandburg friends for a night of skating at Skate City on Thursday, October 15 from 6-8 PM.

This special event is open exclusively to Sandburg students, staff, family and friends, and the more skaters we have, the more Sandburg earns. If we reach 200 skaters, our school will receive $1,000!

Pre-purchase your tickets using the QR code or THIS LINK, then grab your skates and come out for a night of fun.

Fall Festival Needs Your Help

Our Fall Festival/Trunk-or-Treat is coming up on Friday, October 23, and we need Sandburg families to help make it a success.

We still need volunteers to host trunks and help with games and activities, as well as donations of candy and treats.

Whether you can volunteer your time or contribute a bag of candy, we'd love your support.

Join Team Sandburg at The Stride

Let’s get moving for a great cause.

The 31st Annual Stride is happening Sunday, October 25, at the Littleton Museum, and we’d LOVE to see a big Sandburg turnout.

We're rallying together to help Mr. Rowe get a NEW ROPES COURSE for our students.

This year, $15,000 in Health & Wellness grants are available through school contests, including $2,000 for the elementary school with the highest participation. The more Sandburg families who participate, the better our chances.

Choose from the 5K Run/Walk, Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under, or the new Wheelchair 5K.

Whether you run, walk or cheer everyone on, we’d love to have you come out and represent Sandburg.

Let's see if we can bring that $2,000 back to Sandburg and put it toward Mr. Rowe's new ropes course!
