Hi Sandburg families,

Fall Festival was such a blast! A huge thank-you to Sarah North and Christy Pierce for all the time and effort they put into planning such a wonderful event for our Sandburg community.

We also want to give a big shoutout to everyone who hosted a trunk, ran a game, donated treats or volunteered their time. Events like this wouldn't be possible without our amazing Sandburg families, and we appreciate everyone who helped make the night a success.

As we head into November, there's plenty more to look forward to, including our Sandburg Book Fair and Thanksgiving Feast. Keep reading below for upcoming events, important dates and ways to get involved.

Thanksgiving Feast

We're excited to bring back our Sandburg Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November 13. Families are invited to join their students for a special lunch and an opportunity to come together as a school community.

Please be sure to review the updated lunch schedule and submit your RSVP so you can join us.

Holiday Giving

As the holidays approach, we want every Sandburg family to know that our community is here to support one another.

If your household could use a little extra help this holiday season, please reach out directly to Mrs. Sieck. Through our Holiday Giving Campaign, we can connect families with assistance while keeping their identities completely anonymous.

We're grateful to be part of a community that looks out for one another.

Parents of girls ages 7 - 12, join us at Sandburg this Wednesday, October 28 for a special Parent Education Night focused on navigating puberty with confidence, understanding, and connection.

Led by Kandice Garcia, RN, this 90-minute workshop will help parents better understand the physical changes of puberty and learn practical, age-appropriate ways to talk with your daughters while building trust, body confidence, and connection. 

Agenda 6:30pm - 8pm:

● (15 min) Common challenges when talking with kids about puberty

● (35 min) The anatomy and physiology of puberty

● (20 min) Supporting your daughter through different stages (ages 7-9 and 10-12)

● (20 min) Feelings, resources, questions

Come learn, connect, and leave feeling more prepared to support your daughter through this important stage of life.

The Sandburg Book Fair is coming November 9-12, bringing plenty of opportunities for students and families to discover their next favorite read.

Wednesday (late start), Nov 11: 8am - 6:30pm (family night)

Thursday, Nov 12: 8am - 4pm
