Run Day Success!

What else can we say… Run Day was a success! The kids ran like the wind last week and have done an amazing job asking their family, friends, and neighbors to sponsor them! Sandburg students ran a total of 12,821 laps, which is over 800 miles!!

Help us reach our GOAL!

We have raised just over $46K and donations are still being taken! Our goal this year is $60K (roughly $120 per student) and we're confident that we are going to meet our goal. Donations will be accepted through Friday, September 29th. This is a non-student day so it would be great to have cash/check donations brought to school by Thursday, 9/28.

Please remind your students to contact their sponsors and donors to get their donations in soon so they will reach their prize goals.

Spirit Contest!!

Run4Funds staff was the “Spirit Judge” and they picked 2nd Grade with their "Mario Kart" theme as the winners! Congratulations, you have earned an extra recess!

  • Kindergarten: Pete the Cat and the Groovy Buttons
  • 1st Grade: PacMan
  • 2nd Grade: Mario Kart
  • 3rd Grade: Out of This World / Space
  • 4th Grade: Where's Waldo
  • 5th Grade: Crazy for Kindness

A Special Thank You...

Thank you to all our volunteers who worked to make the day run smoothly (Monica Dosen, Lance Soderberg, Emily Boone, Aubrey Dyer, Ben Harper, Terri Pagano, Christine Anderson, Barbara Hunt, Emily Hodges, Ayrolyn Keady, Beverly Tew, Becky Bush, Susan Pelikan, Laura Sweeney, Jenn Bush and Liz Glenn). Your energy and willingness to have fun and support our kids made the day the best it could be. And a special shout-out to Lacey Wall for chairing the fall fundraiser!

Also a HUGE thank you and shout-out to our teachers and Room Parents who worked hard to create and execute themes by grade! The themes were INCREDIBLE and by far the most competitive and creative that we have seen!

And lastly, thank you to all Sandburg supporters that came out to cheer on the students! This was the most attended run and we could not be more thankful for your support!

If you are reading this and wondering if you should sign up for The Stride, the answer is “Yes!” It doesn't matter if you run the 10K or just show up for the pancakes, when you Stride you are part of a community that supports enhanced educational experiences in our neighborhood schools.

Why Run the Stride?

  • The Stride run is the Littleton Public Schools Foundation’s biggest fundraiser.  LPSF has made a difference for nearly 500,000 students and contributed $8 million to support each LPS student’s unique path to success in the 30 years that they have been supporting our schools.

  • Help us win $1000 directly for Sandburg. Once again there will be several participation challenges, the more people we have registered the better chance we have at winning!!
