Hello Sandburg,

A reminder that our next PTO meeting is this Thursday, November 16 from 6pm - 7:30/8pm in the Library. We love new faces and there is no time like the present to find out about what is going on at Sandburg.  

We are still looking for volunteers to join our Hospitality Committee! The committee responsibilities will be to handle ordering, delivery, set up and break down of meals and treats provided to teachers and staff throughout the year. Typically this is during conferences, at the holidays, and during Staff Appreciation. Please sign up here if you are interested in being a part of this committee! 

It’s almost time for our annual Sandburg Family Holiday Giving Campaign. Our goal with this event is to support Sandburg families that may need some additional assistance this holiday season. Your contributions and donations are so appreciated and make a BIG difference for many! Please keep an eye out for an email later this week with all the details on how you can give, and the specific wishlists from Sandburg families.

The holidays are back at the Streets of SouthGlenn and Sandburg is once again joining in on the fun!  Please join us on Friday, November 17th for the 3rd Annual Holiday Grand Parade at Streets of SouthGlenn. ALL SANDBURG STUDENTS AND FAMILY WELCOME!

This will be our 3rd year participating in the Grand Holiday Parade and you don’t want to miss it!  Not only will our school receive 30,000 points for participation, we will receive an additional 1,000 points per person that attends.

Event Details:

• Date: Friday, November 17th, 2023
• Location: The Streets at SouthGlenn - 200 E Commons Ave, Centennial, CO 80122
• Time: 5:00pm - 8:00pm
• Staging Details: All students who want to walk are welcome to. If you are participating in the parade, staging will take place between 5:00pm and 5:30pm in the Sears Parking Lot - 7001 S University Blvd, Centennial, CO 80122. Please be in place and ready by 5:30PM. Parade will start at 6:00pm sharp.
• Dress Festive! If you are planning to walk with Sandburg in the parade, please wear your Sandburg Gear and holiday flair.

Each grade has their own banner they created in art class! Thank you to Mrs. Alicea for helping make this happen!

Join us for seasonal treats as we celebrate the strength of our Sandburg community with a school-wide social event on the south playground! With the passing of the vote for no boundary changes, we’d like to show our Sandburg pride with this community building event.

• WHEN: Thursday, December 7th 

• TIME: 2:45-4:00pm (immediately after school)

• WHERE: South playground

We ask that all students and families dress in Sandburg colors as we partake in fun and games and thank the Board of Education and LRPC for their hard work and dedication to this matter. We are grateful to remain a strong Mountain Lion pride!

Don't forget to get your Charleston Wraps orders in December 4th. We have set up a sample table in the front entrance of the school in - please stop by and take a look at a few of the items you can purchase.
