Showering our Teachers and Classes

At the end of the 2022-2023 school year, thanks to this community's generosity there were some excess funds in the PTO bank account. We have been thinking of ways to use this money in ways that will support our mission of benefiting teachers and students of the school.

Mrs. McCabe was able to collect a "wish list" for each classroom teacher, LSS, mental health, specials, etc. Recently we were able to shower each class with specific items requested by these educators to benefit their classrooms!

The PTO spent approximately $2,500 on this project, with equal distribution among the classrooms. The greatest part of this project is that it benefits and touches each and every student in the school. We provided a variety of items, including games for indoor recess, new balls for outdoor recess, marble runs, weighted lap pets, a class aloe plant, and even some fun new lights for classrooms, among many others.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support of this school and community. Because of you, we were able to provide this additional support to the classrooms this year. Thank you!

Holiday Giving Drive

We wanted to share our immense gratitude to our community with the Holiday Giving Campaign this year. Your support was incredible, and the generosity shown by our families was beyond heartwarming.

We were able to support eight families at Sandburg this year by fulfilling every single wish list item that was sent our way. We received nearly 200 gifts and over $2,500 in gift cards for groceries, gas, restaurants and family outings.

We wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed or helped facilitate this program. This is the third year of the Holiday Giving Campaign and you all have no doubt made the holidays brighter for our families in need!
