Happy Wednesday Sandburg! 

We are excited to announce that tickets are officially on sale for Sandburg's Sweetheart Dance on Friday, March 1st at Goodson Rec Center, 6-8pm. This dance is for ALL Sandburg students and promises to be an unforgettable night of fun and dancing!! Each student is required to bring ONE adult guest with them, and adults must stay for the entirety of the evening.

Don't forget that Spring Pictures are this Thursday (Grades K-2) and Friday (Grades 3-5). If you haven't yet ordered your photo packages, you have until 5pm TODAY, 2/7, https://studiosloss.com/sandburg/. Remember that all students will be photographed for the class picture, but only those who have placed an order for individual pictures will be photographed individually.

Valentine’s Day Class Parties will take place on Wednesday, February 14th from 9:00-9:30am. Details and plans will vary class to class. Look for additional communication from your Room Parents! PTO will provide a snack for students to be taken home, not to be eaten at school.

We will also be celebrating Kindness Week next week! See the themes below and mark your calendars!!

Sandburg Elementary is joining forces with the American Heart Association by participating in the 2024 Kids Heart Challenge! Your student is becoming a Heart Hero by taking care of their own heart, spreading the message of the American Heart Association, and having the opportunity to donate $15 to help raise funds for lifesaving research. 

This is 100% voluntary, you do not have to participate in the donation. 

Starting January 29th and ending February 12th, any student who is able to donate $15 will receive an official Heart Challenge Jump Rope, Heart Hero Keychains, and will have their name displayed on the "Heart Hero Board" inside the gym.  

All money needs to be given to Mr. Rowe, with checks made payable to The American Heart Association. For any questions, please email Mr. Rowe at mrowe@lps.k12.co.us.

Crepes and paninis for dinner? You bet! Zell's sweet and savory crepes and paninis are the perfect dinner....plus you will be supporting Sandburg!
