Hello Sandburg Families,

We have a short and sweet newsletter this week with just a couple quick reminders. The first is that our next PTO meeting is this Thursday, February 15 from 6pm - 7:30/8pm in the Sandburg library. If you haven't been to a meeting before, come check it out! We love new faces and there is no time like the present to find out about what is going on at Sandburg.

This week we are celebrating Kindness Week! The remaining themes are as follows:

Volunteer for Jungle Ropes

The Jungle Ropes Course is back at Sandburg!! If you have time, please consider volunteering for this fun Physical Education learning experience that Mr. Rowe puts on (grades 1-5 only).

Mr. Rowe will need (2) volunteer assistants for each class to help with the cargo net and bowling.

Jungle Ropes will run February 22 through March 4.

Join us for an unforgettable night of fun and dancing! The Sandburg Sweetheart Dance is for ALL Sandburg students....so don't delay, purchase your tickets today!!

Music by DJ Bryce. Bryce has done many LPS dances and knows how to bring the fun and get everyone on the dance floor.
Candyland themed snacks and a photo booth will be provided as well.

Playground Pals Needs YOU

If you are looking for an easy/flexible way to volunteer at the school, Playground Pals is for you! This Program is designed for parents to help the school staff promote an inclusive, safe, and fun environment during lunch recess. It is a great way for parents to get involved in the kid’s school day while accommodating busy schedules.

SCHEDULE:

Shift 1: 10:45am to 12:00pm on the south playground - 4th, 5th, 3rd grades
Shift 2: 12:00pm to 1:20pm on the south playground - Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd grades

During the shift, you will walk the entire playground to ensure that students are interacting in a safe manner and following the rules set forth by the school administration and Para Support Staff. It is also a chance for you to join in, play and have fun with the kids!!

Earn 3X Points Through February

Shop at the Streets of SouthGlenn and help Sandburg earn 3X points in the month of February. Submit your receipts by 2/29 online at shopandlog.com/southglenn or drop your receipts off at school in the PTO drop box in the front office.
