Hello Sandburg Families!

We are so excited about our upcoming Run4Funds fundraiser and want to share ALL the details with you. This event is more than just a fundraiser – it will be an all student participation activity during school hours that will be fun, promote good fitness and drive school spirit. 

This is our 9th annual Run4Funds and is Sandburg's biggest fundraiser of the year. We are trying to raise $60,000 and we can’t do it without your help!  Students can earn class and school-wide prizes & events. The funds this year will be used to benefit all of our students.

This year’s goal is roughly $120 per student – easily attainable!  The best strategy is to help your student start finding sponsors & donors right away. Check out the parent letter or our website for details.

Contributions from the run support:

  • Paraprofessional Staffing

  • School Technology Additions

  • Staff Appreciation

  • Furniture and School Equipment Needs (just to name a few!)

Important Details

RUN DATE: Friday, September 22nd on the South Playground

  • Parents are welcome to come and watch their child/(ren) run and cheer them on… or run with them!
  • Kids run at their designated Specials Time
    • 9:10 - 9:55, Kindergarten
    • 10:00 - 10:45, 1st grade
    • 10:50 - 11:35, 2nd grade
    • 12:10 - 12:55, 4th grade
    • 1:00 - 1:45, 5th grade
    • 1:50 - 2:35, 3rd grade


VOLUNTEER: Consider signing-up to Volunteer on Run Day! 


DONATIONS: All Donations are due by Friday, September 30th

Donations can be a flat amount or an amount for the number of laps a child runs (they say the average lap per kid is around 25 laps in 30 minutes). The total laps ran by your child will be provided on a sheet and sent home in the Friday folder. Please communicate the laps completed to your child’s donors.

  • All Donations are Tax Deductible. The Sandburg PTO Tax ID is: 84-1501725

  • Our goal is to raise $60,000, or roughly $120/student.  Please ask friends, family members or company sponsors to donate.
  • 100% of company/corporate matches come back to the school!

  • Please email Sandburgpto@gmail.com if you need an official tax letter for company matches; we are happy to provide one!


WAYS TO DONATE:

To help parents’ communication with family/friends/sponsors, the online web portal can email donors and show donors pledges through “Check My Students Donations” - password is: carl23


PRIZESPrizes are simplified and school wide based on total contributions received.

  • Classroom:
    • $70 Avg/Student = Glow Party
    • $80 Avg/Student = Glow Rings
    • $90 Avg/Student = Glow Glasses

  • School:
    • Early Bird $25,000 by 9/21 = Foam Party @ School on Run Day
    • $30,000 = Inflatable Party @ School
    • $40,000 = FlashPod Party for Prizes
    • $50,000 = Hydroblast @ Field Day
    • $60,000 = Dippin Dots


IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Monday, Sept. 18 — Email Campaign Due
    Your student can easily send informational emails to potential donors through our website! Each class that sends out their goal number of emails wins a Pop Rock Party! Click here to send your email campaign!

  • Thursday, Sept. 21 — Early Bird Donations Due
    When our school reaches our Early Bird goal by today, everyone gets to enjoy a FOAM Party on Run Day!!

  • Friday, Sept. 22 — Run Day!
    Our students will run as many laps as they can around a 1/16 mile track at school. Please make sure students wear comfortable shoes and clothes and bring water bottles.

  • Friday, Sept. 29 — All Donations Due
    All donations are due!  We prefer online donations but you can turn in cash & checks to the office.

  • Wednesday, Oct. 25th — Prize Day!
    Today we will celebrate our successful fundraiser! Physical prizes will come home with students while  experiential prizes will go on during the school day!

Earn 1,000 Points at the Chalk Art Festival

Did you know you can earn 1,000 points for Sandburg's Streets of SouthGlenn Street Smarts Program when you attend Centennial’s Chalk Art Festival this Saturday?! 

To credit our school, take a photo of your family during this fun family event, and upload your photo to earn 1,000 points per person. Look for a QR code on signs around the center, or visit shopandlog.com/southglenn (click on Latest Offers) for more info and a link to the special events form.
