Teacher Appreciation Week: March 16th - 20th

Sandburg will celebrate our staff the week of March 16th with the overarching theme of "Blossom Where you Teach." There are daily thoughtful activities or small gifts ideas that students can use to show our Sandburg Staff a little love and support.  Keep an eye out for communication from your room parent!

 TEACHER DRAWING INFO:

Drawing will be held on the 19th

This is a fundraiser aimed at offering kids the opportunity to spend extra quality time with their favorite teachers and staff. The Sandburg Staff is generously donating their time AND these experiences for which the kids can purchase tickets. Each ticket is a chance to “win” these special “experiences” with that staff member. All proceeds will go to support the ‘26/27 PTO Budget, helping to fund paraprofessional staff support and various school equipment purchases/improvements.

You are invited to join us for a meet-and-greet with fellow LPS staff, parents, and community members beginning at 7:30 a.m. outside the Old Supreme Court Chamber (Upper Level). We will then convene in the Old Supreme Court Chamber promptly at 8:00 for a discussion with our district’s legislators.

Families with incoming middle school students are invited to visit Powell on Thursday, April 2, from 6:00–7:30 PM. Parents will have the opportunity to tour the school with Powell’s 8th grade Pride Leaders and hear from the principal, PTO, and other administrators about what to expect as students transition to middle school next year.

The Powell PTO is also beginning to fill positions for the upcoming school year and is hoping to welcome incoming 6th-grade parents to get involved. Several openings are available as current 8th-grade families move on.
