Hello Sandburg,

The kids have a short week, but the teachers have a long week, so a big thanks to them for putting in extra hours to meet with all of us! As a small token of our thanks, PTO will be bringing dinner for the entire staff during conferences on Wednesday from Mici's in SouthGlenn.

Please mark your calendars for our next PTO and CSSAC meeting on Thursday, March 21 at 5:30pm in the Sandburg library. This will be a very important meeting to attend as we will be talking about staffing for next year and where our money is going. Remember that all Sandburg families and staff, are welcome and encouraged to attend PTO Meetings.

Teacher Raffle is coming up! Ticket sales will begin next week (March 11-15th). Please look for the teacher experiences in this week’s Friday folders (going home on Wednesday).

The Sweetheart Dance was a smashing success with over 400 tickets sold!! Kids and adults alike danced their hearts out to the tunes that DJ Bryce was throwing down. We hope you had as much fun as we did! Thank you so much for joining us in Candyland. 

We want to also say THANK YOU to our amazing committee that made this night happen including Lindsey Blankenship, Sophia Meyer, Nikki Mueller, Meg Finesilver, Deb Ham and Jacqueline Kennedy. Also a special shout out to the parents who helped day of with decorations...you know who you are!

A note from the committee:

While we are so happy to have put on this amazing dance, we as the committee, are also disappointed. We worked so hard to put everything together and to see that work be disrespected and destroyed was heartbreaking. In future events, we hope that all attendees are more mindful and respectful of the time, energy and detail that goes into it. Thank you!

Our next Out & About is Tuesday, March 19th from 4-7pm at all of our kids favorite, Chick-fil-A in SouthGlenn. Our school will receive 20% of all MOBILE sales. This means that ALL orders need to be placed thru the mobile app using keyword “Sandburg” (mobile dine-in, mobile carryout, and mobile drive-thru).
