The Teacher Raffle is Back! Ticket sales have begun and will be accepted all this week. Check out the great offerings Sandburg Staff has assembled, and look forward to the drawing on March 20th. More details below: Crumbl Cookies, Hoverboards, and lunches to Dog Days and Staff Specialties, kids have a variety of options to try to Win!

Please mark your calendar to join us Thursday, March 21 at 5:30pm in the Sandburg library for the CSSAC & PTO Meeting. Offer input on where our fundraising success should be prioritized, and learn about the Carl Sandburg School Accountability Committee. CSSAC will be a distinctly separate unit from PTO from 5:30-6:45pm, and the PTO meeting immediately following will include voting for funding for the 2024-2025 school year. Remember that all Sandburg families and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Teacher Raffle Entries Due Friday!

We are excited to announce the return of a favorite community fundraiser - the exciting and much loved - TEACHER’S RAFFLE!!

This is a fundraiser aimed at offering kids the opportunity to spend extra quality time with their favorite teachers and staff. The Sandburg Staff is generously donating their time AND these experiences for which the kids can purchase raffle tickets. Each ticket is a chance to “win” these special “experiences” with that staff member. All proceeds will go to support the ‘23/24 PTO Budget, helping to fund paraprofessional staff support and various school equipment purchases/improvements.

Each raffle ticket costs $1.00 and can be purchased by filling out and returning the ORDER FORM (attached here) that came home in Friday folders, along with the donated amount via cash or check (made payable to Sandburg PTO), to your student’s teacher or to the PTO mailbox just inside the front door of the school. Please have this form returned by Friday, March 15th.

The drawing will be held live on Wednesday, March 20th during the lunch periods for each grade, with prizes being awarded shortly thereafter. Last year we raised $9,228 for Sandburg and we are so appreciative of the Sandburg Staff for wanting to participate again this year! Our next Out & About is Tuesday, March 19th from 4-7pm at all of our kids favorite, Chick-fil-A in SouthGlenn. Our school will receive 20% of all MOBILE sales. This means that ALL orders need to be placed thru the mobile app using keyword “Sandburg” (mobile dine-in, mobile carryout, and mobile drive-thru).

Playground Pals needs YOU!

The easiest, low-commitment way to help out at Sandburg! A quick 1hr and 15min block to see and hear the fun happening at school. This program is designed for parents to help the school staff promote an inclusive, safe and fun environment during lunch recess. It's a great way to add a fun surprise to your child's day - Volunteer!
