Collect Items This Week!

The Lost and Found cart is currently overflowing! We know the weather is ever changing in Colorado, so please remind your students to bring their jackets and sweatshirts inside from recess. Parents and students have until this Friday, April 5th to collect their items. On Monday morning, all remaining items will be donated to a local LPS elementary school.

REMINDER: Please please label ALL jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunchboxes, etc. Only a small percentage of all items recovered this month were labeled!

PTO needs you, no really, we mean you!

We're currently filling the open 24/25 school year PTO Board positions and we need help and new faces for fresh ideas. If you are interested, please click here and fill out the PTO Board Interest Form. Or email sandburgpto@gmail.com for more detailed descriptions and to find out how your skills, knowledge, and talents can help your community flourish.

PTO Board Openings

  • Secretary (Lead or Co-Chair): Takes the minutes of the PTO Executive Board and General PTO meetings, held once a month.
  • Fundraising - Apprentice: Shadow the fundraising chair, helping organize and plan various PTO fundraising efforts.
  • Social - Apprentice: Shadow the social chair to organize and coordinate fun social events for Sandburg.

To clarify, an "Apprentice" shadows the current board member for one year to learn all about the position's commitments and responsibilities. The expectation is that the “Apprentice” will fill the position the following year.

Other PTO Openings

  • Streets of Southglenn Coordinator: Help lead Sandburg in our ‘Street Smarts’ SouthGlenn receipt collection program and serve as liaison between ‘Street Smarts’ and Sandburg.
  • Spirit Wear/School Supply Kits Coordinator: Serve as a liaison between 1st Place Spiritwear and 1st Day School Supplies to coordinate and promote these two fundraisers for our school.
  • Teacher Cart Coordinator: Responsible for organizing the snacks in the teachers lounge.
